Crew Application
September 2023
Dear Green Level Students & Families, My name is Rebecca Craig and I am the theatre arts teacher and director here at Green Level High School. I’d like to start by inviting your student(s) to apply for the stage crew of our spring 2024 musical, The Lightning Thief! Before applying, here are some important things to note. What does stage crew do? Stage crew can do a variety of things! They build props, the set, and sometimes costumes. Stage crew will also be required to work backstage during the performances to help with props, set changes, costume changes, run the light and sound boards, and more! They will report to the stage managers, technical director, and director. This is a great way to begin learning about what happens behind the scenes of a show! Show dates - Friday, February 9, 2023 at 7 pm - Saturday, February 10 at 2 pm & 7 pm. Rehearsal Times - Monday-Friday from 2:30-4:30 pm, November 6, 2023 - January 12, 2024 - Monday-Friday, from 2:30-5:30 pm, January 16-February 22, 2023 - Wednesday, January 24, 8 am-2 pm - Saturday, February 3 from 8 am-3 pm, - Monday-Wednesday, February 5-7 from 2:30-7 pm - Although the final rehearsal schedule will not be released until all cast and crew conflicts have been collected, this will be our general schedule. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO INTERVIEW WITHOUT THESE FORMS! Parent/Guardian Meeting & Volunteering - If your student is cast and accepts their role, there will be a mandatory parent/guardian meeting on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 5 pm virtually via Google Meet link. - At least one parent/guardian from each family will either volunteer to work on the production for 4 hours OR pay a $150 fee to the Fine Arts Boosters. Volunteer opportunities and fee payment will be discussed at the parent meeting the first week of rehearsals Due to the crew demands of this show, we will be choosing no more than 25 crew members in total. Please do not be discouraged if you are not chosen - future productions will have more crew positions available and we encourage you to re-apply then! I am so excited for the opportunity to be working on this show with your students! If you have any questions feel free to contact me with the information below.
